Choose How To Share Items for Electronic InvoicingFeatured

When sending invoices or credit notes for stamping, Zoho Books shares the items' details included in the transactions with SAT. Now, you can choose to share only the item's name, or description or both the item's name and description that are on your invoices and credit notes. You can also view these details in the corresponding XML file.

Credit Notes in Customer Portal Featured

The Credit Notes module is now available in the Customer Portal. You can now access your credit notes, view the details of the associated invoices, refund information, and attached documents. Furthermore, your customers have the option to add comments and communicate with you regarding the credit notes directly from within the portal. By default, this feature is disabled. You can enable it from the Customer Portal's settings.

Filter and View Sales Orders That Are Not ShippedFeatured

You can now filter sales orders that are not shipped by creating a custom view. Go to Sales > Sales Orders > click the drop-down next to All Sales Orders > + New Custom View. In the Define the criteria (if any) section, select "Status" in the first dropdown, "is" in the second dropdown, and "Not Shipped" in the third dropdown > click Save.

Support for Custom Fields at the Line-Item Level in Purchase ReceivesFeatured

You can now add custom fields at the line-item level in Purchase Receives. Go to Settings > Items > Field Customization > create a new custom field or edit an existing one > click Yes next to the "Show when creating transactions" option > select Purchase Receive in the Include in Modules field > click Save.

New Currency Support: Caribbean Guilder (XCG)Featured

We're introducing support for the Caribbean Guilder (XCG). This new currency, which replaces the Netherlands Antillean Guilder (ANG), is fixed to the value of the U.S. dollar at a specific exchange rate and will soon become the official currency of Curaçao and Sint Maarten. Existing users can add XCG as a currency, while new users will have the option to set it as their base currency.

Export Transactions in Factur-X FormatFeatured

You can now export invoices and credit notes in the Factur-X format. Factur-X is a standard for e-invoicing in France that embeds an XML file within a PDF/A-3 document. This hybrid format ensures the invoice is both human-readable and machine-readable, making it easy for you to read while also allowing automated processing. Note that this feature is available only for organizations that have their Organization Location set to France.

Serial Number GenerationFeatured

Zoho Books now supports serial number generation for purchase orders and bills in inventory add-on enabled organizations. To do this, select an item in the item table > click Add Serial Numbers > Generate Serial Numbers, enter the starting value and count > click Generate. The serial numbers will be generated for the items, and you can click Save to apply them to the items.
