Since 2013, the first Thursday of May has been recognized as World Password Day to spread awareness about good password practices and protecting our online accounts. Some of the common password security tips includes:
Using a strong and unique password for all accounts.
Changing passwords that are exposed in data breaches.
Configuring multi-factor authentication for online accounts.
Sharing and managing passwords with a password manager.
Not using spreadsheets, sticky notes, printouts, chat, or mail, and loosely sharing passwords.
At Zoho, we help businesses run their entire operations with our tightly integrated suite; this also includes workforce security. Staying true to our vision, we launched four products that enhance your security policies.
2013: Zoho Vault was launched to help businesses securely, store, share, and manage passwords.
2016: Zoho rolled out its multi-factor authenticator, Zoho OneAuth, to help our users add an additional layer of security for online accounts.
2023: We launched our privacy-first browser, Ulaa, and a workforce identity and access management platform, Zoho Directory.
Starting in 2025, the first Thursday of May is also recognized as World Passkey Day by The FIDO (Fast IDentity Online) Alliance to promote passkeys, an alternative to passwords. As a FIDO member, Zoho has taken the passkey pledge to support and promote passkeys in our services to help our users with better security, convenience, and user experience.
Zoho users can now log into all of our 55+ apps using passkeys, powered by Zoho OneAuth.
Zoho Vault users can unlock the Vault with passkeys instead of manually entering the master password every single time.
We're also incorporating passkey management in Zoho Vault to help businesses manage their passkeys of shared accounts.
