Why do I receive ‘Account already exists’ error when I click the invite link?

We have EU, AU, IN, US, CA, CN, and JP data centres for zoho.eu, zoho.com.au, zoho.in, zoho.com, zohocloud.ca, zoho.com.cn, and zoho.jp respectively. Your Zoho account and your companyโ€™s organisation should belong to the same domain.

If you have created an account in a different domain, you will not be able to join your organisation. You should close the Zoho account belonging to a different domain to join your companyโ€™s organisation.

To close your account:

  1. Go to Zoho Accounts.
  2. Navigate to Settings on the left sidebar and select Close Account.
  3. Click Proceed.
  4. Then click Next.
  5. Select a reason for closing the account
  6. Click Close Account again to confirm the action. Your account in the domain will be closed. You can try accessing the invite link again to join the organisation.
