I am not able to edit a transaction as it states transactions have been filed. What should I do?
If you’ve already filed your returns in Zoho Books, you will not be able to edit the associated transactions directly. However, you can un-file the returns and make the necessary changes.
To un-file the return for any month, you need to un-file every return that was filed in the subsequent months. For example, if you had filed the return until September but want to un-file the return for August or previous months, you will need to un-file September’s return first.
Here’s how you can un-file your returns in Zoho Books:
- Go to GST Filing from the left sidebar.
- Select the transactions listed under the GSTR-1 section and click File your Return.
- Click Mark as Unfiled in the top-right corner.
- Confirm the action by clicking Yes,Mark as Unfiled.
Once you’ve marked the return as unfiled, you will be able to edit the transactions related to GSTR-1.
Note:
-
Any changes you make in transactions will not be reflected in the GST portal. It is important to make the necessary changes directly from the GST portal to ensure accuracy.
-
You will be able to edit the transactions only if you have not pushed the transactions for e-invoicing.
