How do I cancel an e-way bill in Zoho Books?

Prerequisite:You can only cancel e-way bills with the status /Generated. When creating e-way bills, if you save them by clicking Save instead of Save and Generate, you will not be able to cancel such e-way bills.

To cancel an e-way bill in Zoho Books:

  • Go to the e-Way Bills module in the left sidebar.
  • Select the e-Way Bill Status as Generated.
Select Generated from the E-Way Bill Status dropdown
  • Click Actions next to the e-way bill that you want to cancel and click Cancel from the dropdown.
Select Cancel from the Action dropdown
  • In the pop-up that appears, click the dropdown next to the Reason field and select the reason for cancellation.
  • Click Confirm.
Enter the reason for cancelling the e-way bill

The e-way bill will be cancelled and its status will be updated to Cancelled.
