My organization only has warehouses. How will migrating to locations affect it?
Once you migrate from Warehouses to Locations, you must create a new business location, as your organization currently has no branches. The Locations feature introduces a hierarchical structure, where business locations act as parents and warehouse locations as children.
During the migration, you can either choose Auto-Assign Location, where Zoho Billing automatically creates a new business location based on your organization’s address and sets it as the primary business location, or Select From Existing Warehouse, where you select one of your current warehouses as the primary business location, and the remaining warehouses are converted into child warehouse locations.
After migration, all existing transactions will reflect the corresponding warehouse location. If inventory tracking is not enabled for an item, the business location of the transaction will be used as the warehouse location for the line items. Additionally, any previously configured automations, such as workflows or custom functions involving warehouses, must be reconfigured after migrating to the Locations feature.
